Perfect for new and nervous riders, this session is designed to introduce you to the joys of gravity-fed riding in a supportive and fun environment. 2. Foundational Skills: Master the basics needed to confidently ride downhill, including the fundamentals of body position, brake control and trail scanning.

  3. Trail Navigation: Our experienced instructors will guide you through the trails and terrain best suited for your skill and comfort level to maximize your fun.

  4. Trail Etiquette: Learn safety best practices for riding in a bike park.

  5. Small group size for optimal learning and feedback opportunities

What You Need:

  1. A mountain bike suitable for downhill riding, in good working order (disc brakes, knobby tires wider than 2”, and either full suspension or hardtail with suspension fork)

  2. A lift pass for Horseshoe Bike Park (not included)

  3. A full-face helmet (very strongly recommended)

  4. Mountain biking shoes and pedals (flats recommended, clipless if it’s your preference)

  5. Knee and elbow pads (demo gear available on a first-come-first-served basis)

This group lesson is a welcoming space to build your skills and confidence so you can enjoy the thrill of gravity-fed mountain biking at your pace. A full-face helmet is very strongly recommended for your safety, rentals are available at the resort. All genders welcome, ages 18+.
